Monocrystalline solar panels are also called premium solar product. The advantages of monocrystalline panels are higher efficiencies and sleeker aesthetics.
The monocrystalline panels have solar cells made from a single crystal of silicon. So that the electrons that generate a flow of electricity have more space to move. As a result, monocrystalline panels are more efficient compared to other panels.
Polycrystalline solar panels
Polycrystalline or Muticrystalline is a newer technology. But they have lower efficiencies than monocrystalline panels. The main advantage of polycrystalline panels is the lower price point.
The monocrystalline panels have solar cells made from polycrystalline silicon. so that the amount of waste silicon is less compared to monocrystalline, Also Polycrystalline panels will tend to have a higher temperature coefficient than Monocrystalline panels.
